The halcyon days of pre-civil war Grand Prix racing were soon replaced with decades of tragedy, heartbreak, sacrifice and turmoil as Formula 1 racing struggled to find a secure home in Spain until the competition arrived at the Circuito de Barcelona-Catalunya in 1991. But after 32 years of loyal service, the European stalwart circuit now finds itself usurped by the country's jealous capital city....
